Murfreesboro Location. Safety. Due to the counter rally location on Broad Street, which is 6 lanes of traffic, be aware this may not be the best location for young children. People can also choose to rally on the same side of Broad Street as the League, who are at the corner of Broad and Vine, in front of the Water Dept. Bldg. There is a lot more green space on that side of Broad, so those with children may be more comfortable on the grass between the Water Dept. and the Administration Bldg. How to Build a Strong Anti Racist Community. The TN Anti Racist Network calls individuals and organizations to use and promote a bystander intervention approach to ending racism. Individuals (and groups) often stand-by and watch difficult situations that they are not directly involved with. To promote deep and meaningful change, bystanders must become interveners. Racism is a community issue, and anti-racism is a community responsibility. Your participation in Anti Racist actions helps ensure the success of anti-racist community intervention as a means to interrupt and end the racist dialogue and action of the League of the South in Tennessee. Counter Rally and Demonstration in Opposition to Hate Group League of the South

On October 12, League of the South, an extremist hate group will invade middle Tennessee and try to infect our home with false Southern Pride (aka white power). They intend to demonstrate in Murfreesboro and Shelbyville. We intend to get in their way.

They are already bullying and trying to intimidate Tennessee residents who are taking a stand against their racist group. 

Don't let these people invade OUR home and get away with this.

We are white. We are black. We are Hispanic. We are Asian. We are Middle Eastern. We are mixed. We are Christians. We are atheists. We are Jewish. We are Muslim. We are pagans. We are straight. We are gay. We are transgender. We are lesbian. We are bisexual. We are asexual. We are Republicans. We are Democrats. We are Libertarians. We are unaffiliated. But we can all agree on one thing: 

WE ARE TENNESSEE!   WE ARE SOUTHERN PRIDE.   WE DO NOT TOLERATE HATE.

At this time, they have not disclosed the specific location of their racist demonstration, but we are watching and waiting... and we'll be there, with a loud and proud Southern Anti Racist Counter Rally. (UPDATE: The City of Murfreesboro has issued a Special Events Permit for the League to demonstrate at the corner of Broad and Vine St., from 10:00am - 12:00pm. More details about our response will be posted soon.)

We are apolitical with one agenda only: to make sure Middle Tennessee is well-represented as an area which does not tolerate racism of any kind.
